1、 Sampling from storage tanks

　　1. Tank without mixing equipment

　　(1) when sampling liquid asphalt or viscous asphalt which has been turned into fluid by heating, the inlet valve and outlet valve should be closed first, and then sampling.

　　(2) use the sampler to take the specified number of samples according to the upper, middle and lower positions of the liquid level (1 / 3 of the liquid level, but the distance from the tank bottom shall not be less than 1 / 6 of the total liquid level). After sampling each layer, the sampler should be emptied as far as possible. When the storage tank is too deep, it can also be sampled three times at the outlet according to different outflow depths. For the static storage of asphalt, it is not allowed to sample only from the top of the tank with a small bucket, and it is not allowed to sample only a small amount of asphalt from the valve at the bottom of the tank.

　　(3) after the three samples are fully mixed, the specified number of samples can be taken as samples, and the samples can also be tested separately.

　　2. Tank with mixing equipment

　　After fully mixing the liquid asphalt or viscous asphalt which has been heated into fluid, a specified number of samples are taken from the middle of the asphalt layer with a sampler.

　　2、 Sampling from tank trucks, tank trucks and asphalt distribution trucks

　　(1) when the sampling valve is set, the sampling valve can be unscrewed and the sample can be taken after the outflow of at least 4kg or 4L.

　　(2) when there is only a discharge valve, half of the total asphalt is discharged, and then the sample is taken.

　　(3) take samples from the top cover and the middle part with a sampler.

　　3、 Sampling during loading or unloading
　　When sampling in the process of loading or unloading, at least 3 samples of specified quantity shall be taken evenly at intervals, and then these samples shall be fully mixed, and the specified quantity of samples shall be taken as samples.

　　4、 Sampling from asphalt storage tanks

　　The asphalt in the asphalt storage tank shall be heated and melted, and then be sampled after flowing to the asphalt heating pot through pipeline or asphalt pump. Take at least 3 samples from each pot at intervals, and then mix these samples well before taking the specified number as samples. The samples can also be tested separately.

　　5、 Sampling from asphalt carrier

　　After arriving at the port, the asphalt carrier shall take samples from each bin. Three samples shall be taken from different parts of each bin and mixed together as asphalt samples of one bin for inspection. In the process of oil unloading, samples should be taken from the oil unloading port or the sampling port on the way of the pipeline three times evenly according to the oil unloading volume, and then mixed as a sample for inspection.

　　6、 Sampling from asphalt drums

　　(1) when it can be confirmed that the products are produced in the same batch, random sampling is allowed. If it cannot be confirmed that the products are produced in the same batch, the number of asphalt barrels shall be randomly selected according to the number of barrels or the cube root of the total number of barrels.

　　(2) after heating the asphalt barrel to melt all the asphalt in the barrel into liquid, take samples according to the tank car sampling method. The quantity of each sample shall be limited to the specified quantity of samples for inspection after fully mixing.

　　7、 Solid asphalt sampling

　　Sampling from drums, bags, boxes or bulk blocks shall be taken at least 5cm below the surface and within the side of the container. If the asphalt can be broken, a clean tool can be used to break the asphalt and take the middle part of the sample; if the asphalt is soft plastic, a clean hot tool can be used to cut the sample.
